Lily Allen’s career is really starting to take off, her song LDN has been on the United Kingdom charts for 2 weeks now and her newest single has ranked 6 in total sales (selling 14,000 copies), so from one fan to another I just want to say thank you for supporting this amazing artist.

Lily Allen has joined a group of stars in an effort to design custom envelopes for a very special charity auction called “Pushing the Envelope 2006” being held by Pitney Bowes, an envelope manufacturer in the United Kingdom, to raise funds to help with the countries National Literacy Trust charity.
It’s not just Lily Allen trying to help out, she is joined by Kate Winslet (you may remember her from a little known movie called the titanic), Shirley Bassey, Phil Collins, Jo Brand and Wayne Hemingway and they all have made their own envelope designs.

Lily Allen really left an impression with his first American show just last night at the Hiro Ballroom in New York City. She came out on stage backed up by a 3 piece horn section, a bassist and keyboard, Lily did a 8 song set in less then 30 minutes.
She started out timid and shy but around the 4th song she relaxed and became much more comfortable in the small room surrounded by fans.
Lily Allen’s fans were treated to a preview of her upcoming release “Alright, Still” and a slightly humerous “Nan, You’re a Window Shopper” which took pot shots at one of 50 cents more popular songs called “Window Shopper” that was released last year.
Allen still has the rest of her North American tour to finish this week with stops in San Francisco, Chicago and L.A, once she finishes she goes back to the UK for a set of shows next month.

Lily Allen was nominated today for the 2006 EMA’s hosted by MTV for the Ireland and UK catagories.
Thankfully with the advances in technology voting is now possible online, so if you are a even a little bit of a Lily Allen fan please click here , click on the Uk & Ireland Act” option and select Lily Allen from the list of artists who have been nominated for the same catagory, its as simple as that!
The final award ceremony will take place on Nov 2nd in Copenhagen at the Bella Center.

LilyAllenMusic.com is holding a very special contest to give 20 tickets to fans visiting Lily’s homepage to give them a chance to see her perform live at the 3 mobile event starting next week to start “3frontroom” which will be a special series of shows where fans can really interact and be part of live music videos from many different bands.
Lily Allen will perform to a small group of fans at London’s Porchester Hall on the 4th of October and Ben Unwin , Lily Allen’s music video producer, will take footage taken at the event and use it in her next music video for the song “Littlest Things”.

Talk about suprising but Lily has publically mentioned that she plans to settle down and take up the role of a housewife in the not to distant future.. Now if that didn’t wake you up Im not sure anything will!
The up and coming singer said that she would be willing to drop her rising career as a pop star in exchange for her slice of domestic bliss.
“I want to get married and have kids and do their homework and drive them to school,” Lily explained. “That’s the main thing in my life. And I don’t think you can do this at the same time as having children. I wouldn’t want to anyway. I’d be upset if this ended tomorrow but I really don’t think this is my place in life. I’m really happy to be here now but I’ve never understood those people who want to make albums when they’re 65.”
